12 Jun Prototyping a Cloud Native Business Monitoring Service
Prototyping a Cloud Native Business Monitoring Service
Enterprises are gradually moving towards public clouds to run their services and applications. This results in a hybrid and highly distributed IT environment. Systems are spread across public clouds, SaaS offerings, and on-premise data centers.
The enterprise’s business processes span multiple of these heterogeneous systems. Making it essential that they all work seamlessly together.
E.g. customers can request automated loans for their businesses from a financial service provider. At the service provider, these requests go through several integrated systems. One for validating the loan request, one to simulate associated risks, one that calculates interests, etc. The overall system can process thousands of these requests every hour. But when a single process instance fails, it’s essential for the customer’s continuity that it is remediated as soon as possible.
This evolution leads to an emphasis on monitoring all the processes and transactions. Enabling the enterprise to detect and react to any anomaly in real-time. Yet, many existing solutions and paradigms fall short for today’s challenges. It’s time for a Cloud Native approach for end-to-end process tracking!
In this internship you’ll prototype such a business monitoring service designed for enterprises with a large Cloud footprint. You’ll develop a PoC using the Serverless stack of AWS (Amazon Web Services).
The goal of this internship is to develop a prototype of a business monitoring service. You’ll first get acquainted with cloud paradigms and modern development practices. Then you’ll finetune an AWS cloud native architecture and develop a working prototype of the solution.
